Hiking Icicle Part 2

So, I'd planned to just have two parts.... Too late. I've got to get to bed! Next post I'll get to the top of the ridge & hopefully get down... It was a long hike, after all!

Hiking Icicle Ridge - Part 1

Ever since I arrived at my new home and began to get out and hike the trails began to call my name loud and clear. One hike in particular had my name written over all 14 1/2 miles of it; the Icicle Ridge/ Fourth of July trail!!

Last Saturday was my last chance to do it before I leave for the summer. With a team meeting on the phone at 8am, about 15 miles to go, and an engagement at 5:45 pm that evening, I followed the call of the trail last Saturday, the 21st!

Reaching the trail head at 7 am, and talking on my cell an hour up, I stopped to observe the view...



...And join the team conference call, right there on the trail!!
